Congratulations!
Congratulations to all of the senoirs that graduated yesterday. The ceremony was very nice, except for the ever present storm clouds. Luckily, they held off until afterwards. Good luck in college or where ever you go next year. | | Tuesday, August 10th, 2004 | | 12:43 pm |
would you rather be a fly being chased by a fly swater or an iron being placed into the fire?
Hello everyone! I just returned from Work Camp so I am home for a week. It was so much fun. I painted two houses in the week and made friends with the residents of the houses. We really did a lot for the homes and the residents that occupy them. Our first resident really needed someone to talk to so we listened to her while we were painting her house. when we finished painting her house, we went to help a group that needed a lot of help to finish their house. We ended up finishing the house but it took a lot of hard work. It was great to see how grateful the residents were. Next week I will be going to camp to be a councilor. It should be a lot of fun. Shelby does not get to go this year. She is not too disappointed though because she has planned a fun week without me. I'm excited! That's all for now. returned... would you rather be a rattlesnake or a javalina (pig-like rodent)?
Well, I'm back from Yellowstone. It was so much fun! I have way too much to say about it then I could ever write in this journal, so I will tell you all about it when I see you in person. At first, none of us were having a good time but by the second day things started to get better and by the end, none of us wanted to leave. It was great! Two days after I came home from Yellowstone, I went on a family vacation to Phoenix, Arizona. It was a great trip except for the fact that it was too hot. It got up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit! We also visited Sedona, Arizona. It was cooler out there even though it was only about an hour away by car. It was also really pretty because the rocks are red from the iron in them. We came home at 6:45 in the morning and because we did not get any sleep on the plane the night before we all slept until 1:00 in the afternoon. So now I'm home for a week. But then I will be doing a Habitat for Humanity type of project up in Green, New York for a week. It should be fun. I hope everyone is having a good vacation wherever you are. That's all. easy question today: would you rather still be taking exams or have finished them?
Yea! exams are over! nothing to study today after school and no homework to do. It was great. The exams were ok. Chemistry and math were difficult but we will see what happens. English was too long but I finished it all so that is good. Government was not difficult but what is a lemon test? Does it even exist? I am so happy and relieved that it is all over! Today was also graduation. It was very nice except for the fact that it looked like it was going to rain the whole time. That's all. Current Mood: relieved | | Tuesday, June 15th, 2004 | | 7:51 pm |

random question: would you rather be a rolling pin or a bowling pin?
I can not stand this keyboard! Someone moved all of the keys around so when you think you are pressing a certain key down, you are actually pressing a different one. For example, q and w are switched. It is so confusing! Government Final today. Lots of studying to do this weekend. That's all Current Mood: annoyedCurrent Music: no music but reason for above mood: stupid keyboard! | | Wednesday, June 9th, 2004 | | 3:48 pm |
a random question: would you rather be a fire breathing ant or a 6ft. tall cat?
Yea! Tonight is the elementry school concert. I am excited. We only need to be there for half an hour but I still think it will be fun. Choir final was today. I don't think it was too bad. We are watching a really odd video in French, but at least it's not work. Thats all. Current Mood: excitedCurrent Music: do i ever have music? | | Friday, June 4th, 2004 | | 5:35 pm |
today...
Well, I have mixed feelings right now. I guess I should be happy because I got into Chamber Singers. And so did singer_at_heart. But, I am upset that roseviolinyst did not. Even though she says that she doesn't care, I know it isn't true. She is so musically talented and should be in Chamber Singers. It really is a loss that she wasn't chosen. Secondly, I finished my behind the wheel drivers training so not I have my permit. However, driving around for two hours for the lesson is not very fun. That's all for now. no subject
Well, track is over now so I get to come home after school. Yea! Unfoutrnately, i was beginning to enjoy it because I was allowed to run in the last two meets and I did suprisingly well. There were too many tests today, I thought I would go crazy! French song tomorrow, I guess I'll have to work on memorizing it. Thats all. Current Mood: calm | | Friday, May 21st, 2004 | | 7:32 am |

please spell the word "choir"
There were these people on the bus this morning screaming! At 7:15 the world should be much quieter. Can you spell the word "choir"? I thought most people could but yesterday I learned how wrong I was. My sister's freiend wrote a note to my sister. THey were talking about the American Boychoir dance comming up. In her note, she spelled "choir" as "quarer". If she is going to the dance, I hope she learns how to spell the word by Friday. Homeroom is over. I have to leave. i have a live journal
Happy now Emily? I have a live journal and I am actually writing in it. There was a track meet today and I was actually happy to go. I did not have anything else to do and it wasn't really hot outside like it has been for the past few days. Plus, I actually got to run. Normally, the races count for team points so I just sit there and watch. Today was different. We were even told we could run whatever we wanted and as many events as we wanted. Compared to everyone else who ran, I did not do very well, but, individually I had some really good times. I can't think of anything else to write, so I guess thats it for today. |
